WAICU Benefits Consortium (WBC)

The WAICU Benefits Constortium (WBC) is a comprehensive, collaborative, jointly administered, self-funded health plan developed for members of WAICU.  This is a consortium of nine member colleges/universities participating with over 1,500 employees and 3,300 participants enrolled.  Dental and vision benefits are also included in the plan. A consultant hired to perform a strategic assessment of the program found that the WBC is highly regarded by faculty and staff at participating colleges, that it provides a richer array of benefits and choices than competing plans, and that the WBC administration (WAICU) is low-cost, effective and efficient.
