The WAICU Life and Disability Program provides group life and long-term disability insurance, along with voluntary life insurance; voluntary accidental death and dismemberment insurance; worldwide travel assistance for accident or illness while traveling; and grief, legal, and financial counseling for families affected by death or disability. WAICU has had no rate increases since the inception of the program in 1993 and has had five rate decreases over the same term. The program offers improved benefits, such as higher guaranteed-issue limits and contributions to retirement plans during disability.
