Study Abroad Collaboration
The WAICU Study Abroad Collaboration, created in 2001, allows students at member institutions to participate in each others’ year-long or semester-long programs.  Under the agreement, the student from the sending institution continues to be registered at and pay tuition to his or her home school.  The sending institution pays the cost of the program to the host institution plus an administrative fee.  The WAICU agreement is non-exclusive (i.e., you may also be in other consortia); members need only use another institution’s programs if they fit with their plans and those of their students.  The WAICU Study Abroad Group has also created an agreement allowing members to share short-term and summer study programs, and is working to encourage more faculty to create courses with a short-term study abroad component.
